Stewart has lived in Churchdown for over 20 years, and is employed as a senior manager for the University of Gloucestershire as the Registrar, responsible for student wellbeing, support and safeguarding.
Having a strong sense of supporting the local community, Stewart has been a governor for Churchdown Village Junior School for 13 years (2010-23), acting as Chair of Governors for the last 4 years; he also volunteered as a coach for the local football club – Churchdown Panthers – for 9 years between 2012-21.
Stewart has been a Parish Councillor since March 2021, and was elected as the Borough Councillor to represent the Churchdown St John’s ward in May 2023.
