George Porter
Shurdington
George has lived in Shurdington all his life, and has had a strong sense of community since childhood. A few weeks before his 19th birthday he was co-opted to Shurdington Parish Council and served as a councillor and chairman until his election to the Borough Council in 2023. He is a Governor of Shurdington Primary School, Chairman of the Shurdington Community Centre committee, and a Justice of the Peace. He has spearheaded the parish council green agenda and continues to put his passion for the environment at the core of his work as a councillor.
